We didn't have a huge amount of money for a down payment

When my husband and I decided it was time to look into buying our own home, we both knew it may be challenging because we didn't have a huge amount of money for a down payment.  Our prayers were answered when we found Dr. Tim and Silver Valley Trust.  

Dr. Tim's willingness to work with us and implement a rent to own option made finding and moving into our forever home easy and affordable.

Tim gave us a chance

About 9 years ago our family ran into a situation where we needed housing fast.  The place we called home was no longer going to be our home due to some unforeseen circumstances for the owner.  We did not have thousands of dollars for a huge down payment, which most financial institutions require, or the credit history need to obtain a loan for a suitable home.  During our search we happened upon a for sale sign with information that led us to Dr. Tim Musick.  We then were given opportunity to finally become home owners.  Dr. Tim and Silver Valley Trust gave us a chance that many landlords and banks would not.

Dr. Tim's willingness to work with the less fortunate and a chance through the rent to own program, was truly a blessing in disguise.  The process was easy, and the payments are affordable compared to today's rental rates. Our family cannot express how much we appreciate Dr. Tim and Silver Valley Trust for making our dream a reality.

He had us at ease immediately

Many years ago we started out new in the Abingdon Virginia area.  At the time, we had limited options for a home and were looking to rent.  We found an ad in the newspaper of a house for sale or rent to own.  Contact person was Dr. Tim Musick.  We went to see him and he had us at ease immediately.  He explaine how we could begin with renting, then grow to a rent to own program, and later as we build equity, buy with his company offering owner financing.

Because we had limited funds for a down payment, Dr. Tim offered us a work for equity program.  He gave us a list of things we could do to improve the house and grounds with a specific amount of credit toward the down payment when the task were completed.  We soon went from merely renting to a rent to own program.  We earned monthly credits for prompt rental payments and over the course of about three years saved enough to make the final down payment.  We are now happy and proud home owners.

Dr, Tim's straightforwardness, integrity and caring approach earned our trust and made us feel we were in the right hands to guide us.  In each phase of our path to home ownership he answered our questions, gave us paperwork that protected our interest, and consistantly presented us with opportunity.  We did the work, paid on time, saved the final amount for the down payment and reached our goal.

We remember excitement and anticipaion in the days leading up to the day of purchase.  Today our hearts are beyond thankful, thankful God led us to Dr. Musick and bringing our dream of owning a home to reality.
